My connections with the northern isles of Britain go back to the 1970s. For 20 years my wife and I have had a home on Unst, Shetland and for several years I had my main studio there in part of the former RAF Saxavord base.
Found on the beach. I found a broken doll on Skaw Beach, Unst. I have no idea whose it was or where it came from. I painted this picture and used sand from the beach as a base
